This three‑hour lecture will cover information to prepare you for the New York State Notary Exam. Taught by an experienced, practicing professional, the course will review the laws and procedures specific to the field in easy‑to‑understand language and include information on best practices.
It is highly recommended that students review the NYS Division of Licensing Services website at https://dos.ny.gov/notary-public and the Notary Public License Law before the class date.
In addition to the required exam‑focused material, this class includes extensive real‑life scenarios drawn from years of professional experience across multiple industries. No two sessions are the same. Each class is shaped around the backgrounds of the participants — banking, healthcare, education, real estate, legal services, retail, government, and more — ensuring that every student learns how New York Notary law applies to the situations they are most likely to encounter.
Students gain practical insight into:
• Common mistakes new Notaries make and how to avoid them
• How to handle unusual or high‑pressure situations while staying compliant
• What to do when a signer is unsure, unprepared, or presents a gray‑area scenario
• How to apply the Notary Public License Law in real‑world environments
• Professional standards that protect both the Notary and the public
